Looking For New Trustees
Award-winning Mobius Dance is looking for a diverse group of people to join our Board of Trustees to support the Chair and our leadership team taking the organisation into the future, whilst remaining true to our mission and values.
Founded in 2016 by Artistic Director Gianluca Vincentini, Mobius Dance is an award-winning professional dance company based in Bradford. Mobius Dance is a small-scale company with big ambitions, a strong reputation and a team of outstanding collaborators and artists. We create heartfelt, cinematographic, physical works at intersections of dance and other art forms.
We are looking for up to 4 new Trustees with a range of skills. Each Trustee shall be appointed for a term of two years.
This will be a voluntary position. Board meetings take place online every quarter (June, September, December, March), inclusive of the Annual General Meeting and possible Away Day. Each meeting will take up to 2hrs.
The Board is responsible for guarding the ethos, values and purpose of the organisation and together with and informed by the organisation’s employees, develops long-term strategies and plans.
Our Trustee Hannah Bixby says: Sitting on Mobius' board is a really enriching experience for me along-side my other professional work. I really enjoy being able to support Gianluca & team with their innovative work and help guide the company's growth over the past few years. The online meetings have made this commitment much easier for me and, as a Yorkshire native myself, I am proud to support a northern based dance organisation!
We are looking for Trustees who:
Are strategic, innovative and creative thinkers able to stimulate and contribute to well-rounded and carefully considered strategic decision-making
Value the transforming power of an arts organisation and can offer specific expertise and knowledge in relevant fields
Are open communicators that inspire, challenge and support colleagues and the leadership team, and act as ambassadors for the Company
Can have the highest aspirations for the Company and strive for excellence at all times with empathy and passion
Understand and accept the legal duties and responsibilities of the role
New Trustees will enable the Board to meet its commitment to:
Ensuring the activities of the Board will be able to stand the test of scrutiny by the public, members, stakeholders, funders and the Charity Commission
