Educational Pack | #CreatingEncounterThree
Hi and welcome to #CreatingEncounterThree our educational pack based on our latest dance film Encounter Three - Within Each-Other.
We have created this educational pack for you to be creative with our work - Have fun or take it very seriously. Whatever is your choice, we believe that everyone can be creative and can dance in their own ways, alone or with others, in their living room or out in the park.
Our choreographic score is a guideline, but free for interpretation. We want you to tell your story….. a real or imagined one.
You can use our film music score, created by Otis Jones, or you can decide to use your favourite music.
We have uploaded both a written and an audio score to help facilitating the creation of your dance. You can take inspiration from the film too.
The language used in the score is there to offer you a structure for your choices.
Some language choices are clearly physical actions for example:
‘Raising my hand to explain’
Some offer an image for example:
‘I am taking off and you are my wings’
Some offer a sensation for example:
‘Magnetism feels dense’
Some offer an emotion for example:
‘Anxious self-embrace’
Remember, beyond this, we invite you to play with this structure in whichever way interests you; you can try as a solo, duet or group piece.
We encourage you to be as creative as possible with your interpretation of actions, images, sensations and emotions to have your own Encounter.
